* This , also , know , that in latter days perilous times will come . * For men will be self-lovers , money-lovers , boasters , proud , defamers , disobedient to parents , ungrateful , unholy , * without natural affection , bargain-breakers , slanderers , incontinent , fierce , haters of good men , * headstrong , puffed up , lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God ; * having a form of godliness , but denying the power of it . Now , from these , turn away . * Of these , indeed , are they who go into houses and lead captive silly women laden with sins , led away by divers lusts ; * always learning , but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth . * Now , in the manner that Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses , so do these also resist the truth : men wholly corrupted in mind , reprobate as to the faith . * However , they shall not proceed further ; for their foolishness shall be very plain to all , as theirs also was .
