Acts:10:1-11




lont@Acts:10:1 @ Now there was a certain man in Caesarea, named Cornelius, a centurion that called the Italian Band,

lont@Acts:10:2 @ a man of piety, and one that feared God, with all his house; giving, also, much alms to the people, and praying to God continually.

lont@Acts:10:3 @ He evidently saw, in a vision, about the ninth hour of the day, a messenger of God coming in to him, and saying to him, Cornelius!

lont@Acts:10:4 @ And having fixed his eyes upon him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said to him, Your prayers and your alms are come up, as a memorial before God.

lont@Acts:10:5 @ And now send men to Joppa and bring hither Simon, whose surname is Peter:

lont@Acts:10:6 @ he lodges with one Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the seaside.

lont@Acts:10:7 @ As soon as the messenger, who spoke to Cornelius, was gone, he called two of his domestics, and a pious soldier, of them that waited upon him;

lont@Acts:10:8 @ and having related to them all these things, he sent them to Joppa.

lont@Acts:10:9 @ On the next day, while they were on their journey, and drew near the city, Peter went up to the top of the house to pray, about the sixth hour.

lont@Acts:10:10 @ And he was hungry, and would have taken a little refreshment; but while they were preparing, he fell into an ecstasy;

lont@Acts:10:11 @ and he saw heaven opened, and something descending like a great sheet, fastened at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
