* And after he had seen (5627 ) the vision , immediately we endeavoured (5656 ) to go (5629 ) into Macedonia , assuredly gathering (5723 ) that the Lord had called (5766 ) us for to preach the gospel (5670 ) unto them . * Therefore loosing (5685 ) from Troas , we came with a straight course (5656 ) to Samothracia , and the next (5752 ) day to Neapolis ; * And from thence to Philippi , which is (5748 ) the chief city of that part of Macedonia , and a colony : and we were (5713 ) in that city abiding (5723 ) certain days . * And on the sabbath we went (5627 ) out of the city by a river side , where prayer was wont (5712 ) to be made (5750 ); and we sat down (5660 ), and spake (5707 ) unto the women which resorted (5631 ) thither .
