* And he reasoned (5711 ) in the synagogue every sabbath , and persuaded (5707 ) the Jews and the Greeks . * And when Silas and Timotheus were come (5627 ) from Macedonia , Paul was pressed (5712 ) in the spirit , and testified (5740 ) to the Jews that Jesus was Christ . * And when they opposed (5734 ) themselves , and blasphemed (5723 ), he shook (5671 ) his raiment , and said (5627 ) unto them , Your blood be upon your own heads ; I am clean : from henceforth I will go (5695 ) unto the Gentiles . * And he departed (5631 ) thence , and entered (5627 ) into a certain mans house , named Justus , one that worshipped (5740 ) God , whose house joined hard (5723 ) (5713 ) to the synagogue . * And Crispus , the chief ruler of the synagogue , believed (5656 ) on the Lord with all his house ; and many of the Corinthians hearing (5723 ) believed (5707 ), and were baptized (5712 ). * Then spake (5627 ) the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision , Be not afraid (5737 ), but speak (5720 ), and hold not thy peace (5661 ): * For I am (5748 ) with thee , and no man shall set on (5698 ) thee to hurt (5658 ) thee : for I have (5748 ) much people in this city . * And he continued (5656 ) there a year and six months , teaching (5723 ) the word of God among them .
