* (And when they heard (5660 ) that he spake (5707 ) in the Hebrew tongue to them , they kept (5627 ) the more silence : and he saith (5748 ),) * I am (5748 ) verily a man which am a Jew , born (5772 ) in Tarsus , a city in Cilicia , yet brought up (5772 ) in this city at the feet of Gamaliel , and taught (5772 ) according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers , and was (5723 ) zealous toward God , as ye all are (5748 ) this day .
