* And delivered (5639 ) him out of all his afflictions , and gave (5656 ) him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt ; and he made (5656 ) him governor (5740 ) over Egypt and all his house . * Now there came (5627 ) a dearth over all the land of Egypt and Chanaan , and great affliction : and our fathers found (5707 ) no sustenance . * But when Jacob heard (5660 ) that there was (5752 ) corn in Egypt , he sent out (5656 ) our fathers first . * And at the second time Joseph was made known (5681 ) to his brethren ; and Josephs kindred was made (5633 ) known unto Pharaoh . * Then sent (5660 ) Joseph , and called (5668 ) his father Jacob to him , and all his kindred , threescore and fifteen souls . * So Jacob went down (5627 ) into Egypt , and died (5656 ), he , and our fathers , * And were carried over (5681 ) into Sychem , and laid (5681 ) in the sepulchre that Abraham bought (5662 ) for a sum of money of the sons of Emmor the father of Sychem . * But when the time of the promise drew nigh (5707 ), which God had sworn (5656 ) to Abraham , the people grew (5656 ) and multiplied (5681 ) in Egypt , * Till another king arose (5627 ), which knew (5715 ) not Joseph .
