Amos:5:18-27

gltv@Amos:5:18 @ Woe to those desiring the day of Jehovah! What is this for you? The day of Jehovah is darkness, and not light.

gltv@Amos:5:19 @ It is as if a man fled before a lion, and the bear met him. Or he goes into the house and leans his hand against the wall, and a snake bites him.

gltv@Amos:5:20 @ Shall not the day of Jehovah be darkness, and not light; even very dark, and not any brightness in it?

gltv@Amos:5:21 @ I hate, I despise your feast days; and I will not delight in your solemn assemblies.

gltv@Amos:5:22 @ Though you offer Me burnt offerings and your grain offerings, I will not be pleased; nor will I regard the peace offerings of your fat animals.

gltv@Amos:5:23 @ Take away from Me the noise of your songs; and I will not hear the melody of your stringed instruments.

gltv@Amos:5:24 @ But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.

gltv@Amos:5:25 @ Have you brought near sacrifices and food offerings to Me forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel?

gltv@Amos:5:26 @ Yea, you have carried the booth of your king, and Kiyyun, your images, the star of your gods which you made for yourselves!

gltv@Amos:5:27 @ And I will cause you to go into exile beyond Damascus, says Jehovah, the God of hosts is His name.
