* And the king shall do according to his will . And he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god ; he shall even speak marvelous things against the God of gods and shall prosper until the fury is fulfilled . For that which is decreed shall be done . * He shall not regard the God of his fathers , nor the desire of women ; yea , he will not come to any god . For he shall magnify himself above all . * But in his place he shall honor the god of forces , and he shall honor a god whom his fathers did not know , with gold and silver and with precious stones , and desirable things . * And he shall act in the strongholds of the fortresses with a foreign god , whom he shall acknowledge . He shall multiply in glory , and he shall cause them to rule over many and shall divide the land for a price . * And at the end time , the king of the south will engage in butting with him . And the king of the north shall come against him like a tempest , with chariots and with horsemen and with many ships . And he shall go into the lands and shall overflow and pass over . * And he shall enter into the glorious land , and many will be stumbled . But these shall escape out of his hand : Edom and Moab , and the chief of the sons of Ammon . * And his hand will stretch out against the lands , and the land of Egypt shall not escape . * But he will rule over the treasures of gold and silver , and over all Egypt 's desirable things . And the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps . * But news shall trouble him from the east and from the north . And he will go out with great fury to destroy and to devote many to destruction . * And he shall plant his palace tents between the seas , in the glorious holy mountain . Yet he shall come to his end , and there is not a helper for him .
