* Paul , an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God , to the saints who are at Ephesus , the faithful in Christ Jesus : * Grace to you , and peace , from God our Father , and from the Lord Jesus Christ . * Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ , who has blessed us in Christ with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places : * Just as he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world , that we should be holy and without blame before him . In love * He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ , according to his good pleasure and will , * To the praise of his glorious grace , which he freely bestowed upon us in the beloved . * In him we have redemption through his blood , the forgiveness of sins , according to the riches of his grace ; * Which he has lavished upon us in all wisdom and prudence ; * Having made known to us the mystery of his will , according to his good pleasure which he set forth in him : * That in the fulness of time he might gather all things together under Christ , both things which are in heaven , and things which are on earth . In him * We have also obtained an inheritance , being predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things after the counsel of his own will : * That we who first trusted in Christ should live for the praise of his glory . * In him you also , after you heard the word of truth , the gospel of your salvation : having also believed , you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit , * Who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God 's possession , to the praise of his glory . * Therefore , I also , after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus , and love for all the saints , * Do not cease to give thanks for you , making mention of you in my prayers ; * That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ , the Father of glory , may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him : * That the eyes of your heart may be enlightened ; so you may know what is the hope of his calling , the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints , * And what is the incomparable greatness of his power toward us who believe . It is the working of his mighty power , * Which he exerted in Christ , when he raised him from the dead , and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places , * Far above all rule , and authority , and power , and dominion , and every name that is named , not only in this world , but also in that which is to come . * And he has put all things under his feet , and has appointed him to be the head over all things for the church , * Which is his body , the fulness of him who fills all things everywhere .
