* Son of man , say to the prince of Tyre , Thus saith the Lord Jehovah : Because thy heart is lifted up , and thou hast said , "I am a god , I sit in the seat of a god , in the midst of the seas "; and though thou art man , not God , yet settest thy heart as the heart of a god ,–– * behold , thou art wiser than Daniel ; there is no secret which can be hidden from thee ; * by thy wisdom and by thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches , and hast gotten gold and silver in thy treasures ; * by thy great wisdom , by thy traffic , thou hast increased thy riches , and thy heart is lifted up because of thy wealth ,–– * therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah : Because thou settest thy heart as the heart of a god , therefore , * behold , I will bring upon thee strangers , the terrible of the nations ; and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom , and they shall defile thy brightness . * They shall bring thee down to the pit , and thou shalt die the death of the slain , in the midst of the seas . * Wilt thou yet say , "I am a god ," before him that slayeth thee ? Thou shalt be man , and not God , in the hand of him that slayeth thee .
