* Christ hath redeemed (5656 ) us from the curse of the law , being made (5637 ) a curse for us : for it is written (5769 ), Cursed is every one that hangeth (5734 ) on a tree : * That the blessing of Abraham might come (5638 ) on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ ; that we might receive (5632 ) the promise of the Spirit through faith . * Brethren , I speak (5719 ) after the manner of men ; Though it be but a mans covenant , yet if it be confirmed (5772 ), no man disannulleth (5719 ), or addeth thereto (5736 ). * Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made (5681 ). He saith (5719 ) not , And to seeds , as of many ; but as of one , And to thy seed , which is (5748 ) Christ . * And this I say (5719 ), that the covenant , that was confirmed before (5772 ) of God in Christ , the law , which was (5756 ) four hundred and thirty years after , cannot disannul (5719 ), that it should make the promise of none effect (5658 ).
