rotherham@Genesis:15:3 @ And Abram said Lo, to me, hast thou not given seed,

rotherham@Genesis:15:4 @ And lo! a son of my household, is mine heir! And lo! the word of Yahweh unto him, saying, This one, shall not be thine heir: But one who cometh forth of thy bodyhe shall be thine heir.

rotherham@Genesis:15:5 @ And he brought him forth abroad and said Look steadfastly. I pray thee towards the heavens, and number the stars, if thou be able to number, them, And he said to him, Thus, shall be thy seed.

rotherham@Genesis:15:6 @ And he had faith in Yahweh, so he reckoned it to him as righteousness.

rotherham@Genesis:15:7 @ And he said unto him, I, am Yahweh, who brought thee forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it.

rotherham@Genesis:15:8 @ And he said, My Lord Yahweh, whereby, can I know that I shall inherit it?

rotherham@Genesis:15:9 @ And he said unto him, Take for me a heifer three years old, and a she-goat three years old, and a ram three years old, and a turtle-dove and a young pigeon.

rotherham@Genesis:15:10 @ So he took for him all these, and divided them, in the midst, and placed each piece over against its fellow, hut the birds, divided he not.

rotherham@Genesis:15:11 @ Then came down the birds of prey upon the carcass, and Abram drove them away.

rotherham@Genesis:15:15 @ But, thou, shalt go in unto thy fathers in peace, thou shalt be buried in a good old age.

rotherham@Genesis:15:16 @ And, in the fourth generation, shall they return hither, for not complete, is the iniquity of the Amorites, as yet,

rotherham@Genesis:15:17 @ So it came to pass when, the sun, had gone in, and Ira thick darkness, had come on, that lo there was a smoking hearth and torch of fire, which passed through between these pieces.

rotherham@Genesis:15:18 @ In that day, did Yahweh solemnise with Abram a covenant, saying, To thy seed, have I given this land, from the river of Egypt as far as the great riverthe river Euphrates:

rotherham@Genesis:15:19 @ the Kenite, and the Kenizzite, and the Kadmonite;

rotherham@Genesis:15:20 @ and the Hittite and the Perizzite, and the Rephaim;

rotherham@Genesis:15:21 @ and the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Girgashite, and the Jebusite.

rotherham@Genesis:16:1 @ But Sarai, Abrams wife, had borne him no children, she had, however, an Egyptian handmaid, whose name was Hagar.

rotherham@Genesis:16:4 @ And he went in unto Hagar anti she conceived, and when she saw that she had conceived, lightly esteemed, was her lady, in her eyes.

rotherham@Genesis:16:5 @ Then said Sarai unto Abram: My wrong, is, on thee! I, gave my handmaid into thy broom, and when she seeth that she hath conceived, then am lightly esteemed in her eyes Yahweh judge betwixt me and her.

rotherham@Genesis:16:6 @ And Abram said unto Sarai, Lo! thy handmaid, is in thy hand, do to her what is good in thine eyes. So Sarai humbled her, and she fled from her face.

rotherham@Genesis:16:7 @ And the messenger of Yahweh b found her by the fountain of water in the desert, by the fountain in the way to Shur.

rotherham@Genesis:16:8 @ So he said Hagar! handmaid of Sarai! Whence hast thou come, and whither wouldst thou go? And she said, From the face of Sarai, my lady, am, I, fleeing.

rotherham@Genesis:16:9 @ And the messenger of Yahweh said to her, Return unto thy lady, and humble thyself under her hands.

rotherham@Genesis:16:10 @ And the messenger of Yahweh said to her, I will, greatly multiply, thy seedso that it shall not be numbered for multitude.

rotherham@Genesis:16:11 @ And the messenger of Yahweh said to her, Behold thee! with child, and about bearing a sonand thou shalt call his name Ishmael for Yahweh hath hearkened unto thy humiliation. \fs15

rotherham@Genesis:16:12 @ But, he, will be a wild ass of a man, his hand, against every one, and every ones hand against himyet, in presence of all his brethren, shall he have his habitation.

rotherham@Genesis:16:13 @ And she called the name of Yahweh, who had spoken unto her, Thou GOD of vision! For she said. Do I even here, retain my vision after a vision?

rotherham@Genesis:16:14 @ On this account, is the well called, the well of the life of vision, lo! it is between Kadesh and Bered.

rotherham@Genesis:16:15 @ So Hagar bare to Abram a son, and Abram called the name of his son, whom Hagar bare, Ishmael.

rotherham@Genesis:16:16 @ Now, Abram, was eightysix years old, when Hagar bare Ishmael to Abram.

rotherham@Genesis:17:1 @ And it came to pass that, when Abram was ninety and nine years old, Yahweh appeared unto Abram, and said unto him, I, am GOD Almighty, Walk, thou before me and become thou blameless:

rotherham@Genesis:17:2 @ That I may set my covenant betwixt me and thee, And may multiply thee, exceedingly.

rotherham@Genesis:17:3 @ And Abram fell on his face, and God spake with him, saying:

rotherham@Genesis:17:4 @ As for me, lo! my covenant is with thee, So shalt thou becomefather of a multitude of nations;

rotherham@Genesis:17:5 @ And thy name shall no more be called Abram, but thy name shall become Abraham, for father of a multitude of nations, have I appointed thee;

rotherham@Genesis:17:6 @ And I will make thee fruitful, exceedingly, and grant thee to be nations, Yea kings, out of thee, shall come forth;

rotherham@Genesis:17:7 @ And I will confirm my covenant betwixt me and thee and thy seed after thee to their generations for an age-abiding covenant, to become to thee a God, and to thy seed after thee;

rotherham@Genesis:17:8 @ And I will give to thee and to thy seed after thee the land of thy sojourningsall the land of Canaan, for an age-abiding possession And I will be to them a God.

rotherham@Genesis:17:9 @ And God said unto Abraham, But, as for thee, my covenant, must thou keep, thou and thy seed after thee, to their generations:

rotherham@Genesis:17:10 @ This, is my covenant which ye shall keep, betwixt me and you, and thy seed after thee, To circumcise to you every male:

rotherham@Genesis:17:11 @ So shall ye be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin, So shall it become a sign of a covenant, betwixt me and you.

rotherham@Genesis:17:12 @ And he that is eight days old, shall be circumcised to you every male to your generations, he that is born of the house, and he that is bought with silver of any son of a stranger, who is, not of thy seed,

rotherham@Genesis:17:13 @ He must surely be circumcised, born of thy house or bought with thy silver, So shall my covenant be in your flesh for an age-abiding covenant.

rotherham@Genesis:17:14 @ But, as for the uncircumcised male who shall not be circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that person shall be cut off from among his people, my covenant, hath he made void.

rotherham@Genesis:17:15 @ And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but, Sarah, is her name;

rotherham@Genesis:17:16 @ and I will bless her, yea moreover will givefrom herto thee, a son, And I will bless her, and she shall become nations. Kings of peoples, from her, shall arise.

rotherham@Genesis:17:17 @ And Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart To one a hundred years old, shall a child be born? And shall even Sarah, who is ninety years old, give birth?

rotherham@Genesis:17:18 @ And Abraham said unto God, Oh that, Ishmael, might live before thee!

rotherham@Genesis:17:19 @ And God said Truly, Sarah thy wife, is about to bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name, Isaac, and I will establish my covenant with him as an age-abiding covenant, to his seed after him.

rotherham@Genesis:17:20 @ Yet as for Ishmael, I have heard thee; o! I have blessed trim and will make him fruitful, and multiply him, exceedingly, twelve princes, shall he beget, and I will grant him to be a great nation;

rotherham@Genesis:17:21 @ But my covenant, will I establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear, to thee, by this set time, in the next year.

rotherham@Genesis:17:22 @ And he left off speaking with him, and God went up from Abraham.

rotherham@Genesis:17:23 @ So Abraham took Ishmael his son and all born of his house and all bought with his silverevery male among the men of the house of Abraham, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin on this selfsame day, according to that which God had spoken with him.

rotherham@Genesis:17:24 @ Now Abraham, was ninety-nine years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

rotherham@Genesis:17:25 @ And Ishmael, his son, was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

rotherham@Genesis:17:26 @ On this selfsame day, was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son;

rotherham@Genesis:17:27 @ and, all the men of his house, born of his house, and bought with silver from the son of a stranger, were circumcised with him.
