* By faith Moses , when he was come (5637 ) to years , refused (5662 ) to be called (5745 ) the son of Pharaohs daughter ; * Choosing (5642 ) rather to suffer affliction (5738 ) with the people of God , than to enjoy the pleasures (5721 ) of sin for a season ; * Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than (5666 ) the treasures in Egypt : for he had respect (5707 ) unto the recompence of the reward . * By faith he forsook (5627 ) Egypt , not fearing (5679 ) the wrath of the king : for he endured (5656 ), as seeing (5723 ) him who is invisible . * Through faith he kept (5758 ) the passover , and the sprinkling of blood , lest he that destroyed (5723 ) the firstborn should touch (5632 ) them . * By faith they passed through (5627 ) the Red sea as by dry land : which the Egyptians assaying to do (5631 ) were drowned (5681 ). * By faith the walls of Jericho fell down (5627 ), after they were compassed (5685 ) about seven days . * By faith the harlot Rahab perished (5639 ) not with them that believed not (5660 ), when she had received (5666 ) the spies with peace .
