* That ye be (5638 ) not slothful , but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit (5723 ) the promises . * For when God made promise (5666 ) to Abraham , because he could (5707 ) swear (5658 ) by no greater , he sware (5656 ) by himself , * Saying (5723 ), Surely blessing (5723 ) I will bless (5692 ) thee , and multiplying (5723 ) I will multiply (5692 ) thee . * And so , after he had patiently endured (5660 ), he obtained (5627 ) the promise .
