* In this case God being abundantly willing to show to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable purpose of his will gave the surety of an oath , * that by two unchangeable things , in which it was impossible for God to be false , we might have strong encouragement , we who have fled to lay hold on the hope that lies before us .
