* Then verily the first covenant had (5707 ) also ordinances of divine service , and a worldly sanctuary . * For there was a tabernacle made (5681 ); the first , wherein was the candlestick , and the table , and the shewbread ; which is called (5743 ) the sanctuary . * And after the second veil , the tabernacle which is called (5746 ) the Holiest of all ; * Which had (5723 ) the golden censer , and the ark of the covenant overlaid (5772 ) round about with gold , wherein was the golden pot that had (5723 ) manna , and Aarons rod that budded (5660 ), and the tables of the covenant ; * And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing (5723 ) the mercyseat ; of which we cannot (5748 ) now speak (5721 ) particularly . * Now when these things were thus ordained (5772 ), the priests went (5748 ) always into the first tabernacle , accomplishing (5723 ) the service of God . * But into the second went the high priest alone once every year , not without blood , which he offered (5719 ) for himself , and for the errors of the people : * The Holy Ghost this signifying (5723 ), that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest (5771 ), while as the first tabernacle was (5723 ) yet standing : * Which was a figure for the time then present (5761 ), in which were offered (5743 ) both gifts and sacrifices , that could (5740 ) not make him that did the service (5723 ) perfect (5658 ), as pertaining to the conscience ;
