Hosea:6:1-7:16

updv@Hosea:6:1 @ Come, and let us return to Yahweh; for he has torn, and he will heal us; he has struck, and he will bind us up.

updv@Hosea:6:2 @ After two days he will revive us: on the third day he will raise us up, and we will live before him.

updv@Hosea:6:3 @ And let us know, let us follow on to know Yahweh: his going forth is sure as the morning; and he will come to us as the rain, as the latter rain that waters the earth.

updv@Hosea:6:4 @ O Ephraim, what shall I do to you? O Judah, what shall I do to you? For your(note:){+}(:note) goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the dew that goes early away.

updv@Hosea:6:5 @ Therefore I have hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and my judgment goes forth as the light.

updv@Hosea:6:6 @ For I desire goodness, and not sacrifice; and knowledge of God more than burnt-offerings.

updv@Hosea:6:7 @ But they like man have transgressed the covenant: there they have betrayed me.

updv@Hosea:6:8 @ Gilead is a city of those who work iniquity; it is stained with blood.

updv@Hosea:6:9 @ And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way toward Shechem; yes, they have committed lewdness.

updv@Hosea:6:10 @ In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing: there prostitution is [found] in Ephraim, Israel is defiled.

updv@Hosea:6:11 @ Also, O Judah, there is a harvest appointed for you, when I bring back the captivity of my people.

updv@Hosea:7:1 @ When I would heal Israel, then is the iniquity of Ephraim uncovered, and the wickedness of Samaria; for they commit falsehood, and the thief enters in, and the troop of robbers ravages outside.

updv@Hosea:7:2 @ And they don't consider in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.

updv@Hosea:7:3 @ They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies.

updv@Hosea:7:4 @ They are all adulterers; they are as an oven heated by the baker; he ceases to stir [the fire], from the kneading of the dough, until it is leavened.

updv@Hosea:7:5 @ On the day of our king the princes made themselves sick with the heat of wine; he stretched out his hand with scoffers.

updv@Hosea:7:6 @ For they have brought their heart into their ambush, as into an oven: their baker sleeps all the night; in the morning it burns as a flaming fire.

updv@Hosea:7:7 @ They are all hot as an oven, and devour their judges; all their kings have fallen: there is none among them who calls to me.

updv@Hosea:7:8 @ Ephraim, he mixes himself among the peoples; Ephraim is a cake not turned.

updv@Hosea:7:9 @ Strangers have devoured his strength, and he does not know [it]: yes, gray hairs are here and there on him, and he does not know [it].

updv@Hosea:7:10 @ And the pride of Israel testifies to his face: yet they have not returned to Yahweh their God, nor sought him, for all this.

updv@Hosea:7:11 @ And Ephraim is like a silly dove, without understanding: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria.

updv@Hosea:7:12 @ When they will go, I will spread my net on them; I will bring them down as the birds of the heavens; I will chastise them, as their congregation has heard.

updv@Hosea:7:13 @ Woe to them! For they have wandered from me; destruction to them! For they have trespassed against me: though I would redeem them, yet they have spoken lies against me.

updv@Hosea:7:14 @ And they have not cried to me with their heart, but they howl on their beds: they gash themselves for grain and new wine; they rebel against me.

updv@Hosea:7:15 @ Though I have taught and strengthened their arms, yet they devise mischief against me.

updv@Hosea:7:16 @ They return, but not upwards; they are like a deceitful bow; their princes will fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this will be their derision in the land of Egypt.
