akjv@Jeremiah:31:2 @ Thus said the LORD, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:3 @ The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying, Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn you.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:4 @ Again I will build you, and you shall be built, O virgin of Israel: you shall again be adorned with your tabrets, and shall go forth in the dances of them that make merry.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:5 @ You shall yet plant vines on the mountains of Samaria: the planters shall plant, and shall eat them as common things.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:6 @ For there shall be a day, that the watchmen on the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise you, and let us go up to Zion to the LORD our God.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:7 @ For thus said the LORD; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish you, praise you, and say, O LORD, save your people, the remnant of Israel.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:8 @ Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travails with child together: a great company shall return thither.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:9 @ They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:10 @ Hear the word of the LORD, O you nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd does his flock.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:11 @ For the LORD has redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:12 @ Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:13 @ Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:14 @ And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, said the LORD.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:15 @ Thus said the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:16 @ Thus said the LORD; Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears: for your work shall be rewarded, said the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:17 @ And there is hope in your end, said the LORD, that your children shall come again to their own border.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:18 @ I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus; You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke: turn you me, and I shall be turned; for you are the LORD my God.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:19 @ Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote on my thigh: I was ashamed, yes, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:20 @ Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spoke against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy on him, said the LORD.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:21 @ Set you up markers, make you high heaps: set your heart toward the highway, even the way which you went: turn again, O virgin of Israel, turn again to these your cities.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:22 @ How long will you go about, O you backsliding daughter? for the LORD has created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:23 @ Thus said the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As yet they shall use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity; The LORD bless you, O habitation of justice, and mountain of holiness.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:24 @ And there shall dwell in Judah itself, and in all the cities thereof together, farmers, and they that go forth with flocks.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:25 @ For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:26 @ On this I awaked, and beheld; and my sleep was sweet to me.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:27 @ Behold, the days come, said the LORD, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:28 @ And it shall come to pass, that like as I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so will I watch over them, to build, and to plant, said the LORD.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:29 @ In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children' teeth are set on edge.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:30 @ But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eats the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:31 @ Behold, the days come, said the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

akjv@Jeremiah:31:32 @ Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they broke, although I was an husband to them, said the LORD:

akjv@Jeremiah:31:33 @ But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, said the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:34 @ And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, said the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:35 @ Thus said the LORD, which gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divides the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:

akjv@Jeremiah:31:36 @ If those ordinances depart from before me, said the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:37 @ Thus said the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, said the LORD.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:38 @ Behold, the days come, said the LORD, that the city shall be built to the LORD from the tower of Hananeel to the gate of the corner.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:39 @ And the measuring line shall yet go forth over against it on the hill Gareb, and shall compass about to Goath.

akjv@Jeremiah:31:40 @ And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields to the brook of Kidron, to the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy to the LORD; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more for ever.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:1 @ The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:2 @ For then the king of Babylon' army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of Judah' house.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:3 @ For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Why do you prophesy, and say, Thus said the LORD, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;

akjv@Jeremiah:32:4 @ And Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes;

akjv@Jeremiah:32:5 @ And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, said the LORD: though you fight with the Chaldeans, you shall not prosper.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:6 @ And Jeremiah said, The word of the LORD came to me, saying,

akjv@Jeremiah:32:7 @ Behold, Hanameel the son of Shallum your uncle shall come to you saying, Buy you my field that is in Anathoth: for the right of redemption is your to buy it.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:8 @ So Hanameel my uncle' son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the LORD, and said to me, Buy my field, I pray you, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is yours, and the redemption is yours; buy it for yourself. Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:9 @ And I bought the field of Hanameel my uncle' son, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:10 @ And I subscribed the evidence, and sealed it, and took witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:11 @ So I took the evidence of the purchase, both that which was sealed according to the law and custom, and that which was open:

akjv@Jeremiah:32:12 @ And I gave the evidence of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel my uncle' son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:13 @ And I charged Baruch before them, saying,

akjv@Jeremiah:32:14 @ Thus said the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:15 @ For thus said the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:16 @ Now when I had delivered the evidence of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed to the LORD, saying,

akjv@Jeremiah:32:17 @ Ah Lord GOD! behold, you have made the heaven and the earth by your great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for you:

akjv@Jeremiah:32:18 @ You show loving kindness to thousands, and recompense the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name,

akjv@Jeremiah:32:19 @ Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for your eyes are open on all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:

akjv@Jeremiah:32:20 @ Which have set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even to this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and have made you a name, as at this day;

akjv@Jeremiah:32:21 @ And have brought forth your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with great terror;

akjv@Jeremiah:32:22 @ And have given them this land, which you did swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;

akjv@Jeremiah:32:23 @ And they came in, and possessed it; but they obeyed not your voice, neither walked in your law; they have done nothing of all that you commanded them to do: therefore you have caused all this evil to come on them:

akjv@Jeremiah:32:24 @ Behold the mounts, they are come to the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: and what you have spoken is come to pass; and, behold, you see it.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:25 @ And you have said to me, O Lord GOD, Buy you the field for money, and take witnesses; for the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:26 @ Then came the word of the LORD to Jeremiah, saying,

akjv@Jeremiah:32:27 @ Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

akjv@Jeremiah:32:28 @ Therefore thus said the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it:

akjv@Jeremiah:32:29 @ And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set fire on this city, and burn it with the houses, on whose roofs they have offered incense to Baal, and poured out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke me to anger.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:30 @ For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done evil before me from their youth: for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, said the LORD.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:31 @ For this city has been to me as a provocation of my anger and of my fury from the day that they built it even to this day; that I should remove it from before my face,

akjv@Jeremiah:32:32 @ Because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:33 @ And they have turned to me the back, and not the face: though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not listened to receive instruction.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:34 @ But they set their abominations in the house, which is called by my name, to defile it.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:35 @ And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:36 @ And now therefore thus said the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof you say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence;

akjv@Jeremiah:32:37 @ Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, where I have driven them in my anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:

akjv@Jeremiah:32:38 @ And they shall be my people, and I will be their God:

akjv@Jeremiah:32:39 @ And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:

akjv@Jeremiah:32:40 @ And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:41 @ Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:42 @ For thus said the LORD; Like as I have brought all this great evil on this people, so will I bring on them all the good that I have promised them.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:43 @ And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof you say, It is desolate without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

akjv@Jeremiah:32:44 @ Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, said the LORD.

akjv@Jeremiah:33:1 @ Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying,

akjv@Jeremiah:33:2 @ Thus said the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name;

akjv@Jeremiah:33:3 @ Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you know not.

akjv@Jeremiah:33:4 @ For thus said the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by the mounts, and by the sword;

akjv@Jeremiah:33:5 @ They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in my anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city.

akjv@Jeremiah:33:6 @ Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.

akjv@Jeremiah:33:7 @ And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.

akjv@Jeremiah:33:8 @ And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.

akjv@Jeremiah:33:9 @ And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honor before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do to them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure to it.

akjv@Jeremiah:33:10 @ Thus said the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which you say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,

akjv@Jeremiah:33:11 @ The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endures for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, said the LORD.

akjv@Jeremiah:33:12 @ Thus said the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.

akjv@Jeremiah:33:13 @ In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that tells them, said the LORD.

akjv@Jeremiah:33:14 @ Behold, the days come, said the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.

akjv@Jeremiah:33:15 @ In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up to David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.

akjv@Jeremiah:33:16 @ In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name with which she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.

akjv@Jeremiah:33:17 @ For thus said the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel;

akjv@Jeremiah:33:18 @ Neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.

akjv@Jeremiah:33:19 @ And the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,

akjv@Jeremiah:33:20 @ Thus said the LORD; If you can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;

akjv@Jeremiah:33:21 @ Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.

akjv@Jeremiah:33:22 @ As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister to me.

akjv@Jeremiah:33:23 @ Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,

akjv@Jeremiah:33:24 @ Consider you not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD has chosen, he has even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.

akjv@Jeremiah:33:25 @ Thus said the LORD; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;

akjv@Jeremiah:33:26 @ Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.

akjv@Jeremiah:34:1 @ The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and all his army, and all the kingdoms of the earth of his dominion, and all the people, fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities thereof, saying,

akjv@Jeremiah:34:2 @ Thus said the LORD, the God of Israel; Go and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah, and tell him, Thus said the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire:

akjv@Jeremiah:34:3 @ And you shall not escape out of his hand, but shall surely be taken, and delivered into his hand; and your eyes shall behold the eyes of the king of Babylon, and he shall speak with you mouth to mouth, and you shall go to Babylon.

akjv@Jeremiah:34:4 @ Yet hear the word of the LORD, O Zedekiah king of Judah; Thus said the LORD of you, You shall not die by the sword:

akjv@Jeremiah:34:5 @ But you shall die in peace: and with the burnings of your fathers, the former kings which were before you, so shall they burn odors for you; and they will lament you, saying, Ah lord! for I have pronounced the word, said the LORD.

akjv@Jeremiah:34:6 @ Then Jeremiah the prophet spoke all these words to Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem,

akjv@Jeremiah:34:7 @ When the king of Babylon' army fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities of Judah that were left, against Lachish, and against Azekah: for these defended cities remained of the cities of Judah.

akjv@Jeremiah:34:8 @ This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after that the king Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people which were at Jerusalem, to proclaim liberty to them;

akjv@Jeremiah:34:9 @ That every man should let his manservant, and every man his maidservant, being an Hebrew or an Hebrewess, go free; that none should serve himself of them, to wit, of a Jew his brother.

akjv@Jeremiah:34:10 @ Now when all the princes, and all the people, which had entered into the covenant, heard that every one should let his manservant, and every one his maidservant, go free, that none should serve themselves of them any more, then they obeyed, and let them go.

akjv@Jeremiah:34:11 @ But afterward they turned, and caused the servants and the handmaids, whom they had let go free, to return, and brought them into subjection for servants and for handmaids.

akjv@Jeremiah:34:12 @ Therefore the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

akjv@Jeremiah:34:13 @ Thus said the LORD, the God of Israel; I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slaves, saying,

akjv@Jeremiah:34:14 @ At the end of seven years let you go every man his brother an Hebrew, which has been sold to you; and when he has served you six years, you shall let him go free from you: but your fathers listened not to me, neither inclined their ear.

akjv@Jeremiah:34:15 @ And you were now turned, and had done right in my sight, in proclaiming liberty every man to his neighbor; and you had made a covenant before me in the house which is called by my name:

akjv@Jeremiah:34:16 @ But you turned and polluted my name, and caused every man his servant, and every man his handmaid, whom he had set at liberty at their pleasure, to return, and brought them into subjection, to be to you for servants and for handmaids.

akjv@Jeremiah:34:17 @ Therefore thus said the LORD; You have not listened to me, in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to his neighbor: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, said the LORD, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.

akjv@Jeremiah:34:18 @ And I will give the men that have transgressed my covenant, which have not performed the words of the covenant which they had made before me, when they cut the calf in two, and passed between the parts thereof,

akjv@Jeremiah:34:19 @ The princes of Judah, and the princes of Jerusalem, the eunuchs, and the priests, and all the people of the land, which passed between the parts of the calf;

akjv@Jeremiah:34:20 @ I will even give them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life: and their dead bodies shall be for meat to the fowls of the heaven, and to the beasts of the earth.

akjv@Jeremiah:34:21 @ And Zedekiah king of Judah and his princes will I give into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life, and into the hand of the king of Babylon' army, which are gone up from you.

akjv@Jeremiah:34:22 @ Behold, I will command, said the LORD, and cause them to return to this city; and they shall fight against it, and take it, and burn it with fire: and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without an inhabitant.

akjv@Jeremiah:35:1 @ The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,

akjv@Jeremiah:35:2 @ Go to the house of the Rechabites, and speak to them, and bring them into the house of the LORD, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink.

akjv@Jeremiah:35:3 @ Then I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habaziniah, and his brothers, and all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites;

akjv@Jeremiah:35:4 @ And I brought them into the house of the LORD, into the chamber of the sons of Hanan, the son of Igdaliah, a man of God, which was by the chamber of the princes, which was above the chamber of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the keeper of the door:

akjv@Jeremiah:35:5 @ And I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites pots full of wine, and cups, and I said to them, Drink you wine.

akjv@Jeremiah:35:6 @ But they said, We will drink no wine: for Jonadab the son of Rechab our father commanded us, saying, You shall drink no wine, neither you, nor your sons for ever:

akjv@Jeremiah:35:15 @ I have sent also to you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return you now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and you shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but you have not inclined your ear, nor listened to me.

akjv@Jeremiah:35:16 @ Because the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their father, which he commanded them; but this people has not listened to me:

akjv@Jeremiah:35:17 @ Therefore thus said the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring on Judah and on all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken to them, but they have not heard; and I have called to them, but they have not answered.
