John:11:1-16

jub@John:11:1 @ Now a certain [man] was sick, [named] Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.

jub@John:11:2 @ (It was [that] Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment and wiped his feet with her hair whose brother Lazarus was sick.)

jub@John:11:3 @ Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.

jub@John:11:4 @ When Jesus heard [that], he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

jub@John:11:5 @ Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.

jub@John:11:6 @ When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.

jub@John:11:7 @ Then after that he said to [his] disciples, Let us go into Judea again.

jub@John:11:8 @ [His] disciples said unto him, Rabbi, the Jews of late sought to stone thee, and goest thou there again?

jub@John:11:9 @ Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble because he sees the light of this world.

jub@John:11:10 @ But he who walks in the night stumbles because there is no light in him.

jub@John:11:11 @ Having said that he said unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may awake him out of sleep.

jub@John:11:12 @ Then his disciples said, Lord, if he sleeps, he shall be saved.

jub@John:11:13 @ But Jesus had spoken of his death, and they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.

jub@John:11:14 @ Then Jesus said unto them plainly, Lazarus has died.

jub@John:11:15 @ And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, in order that ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.

jub@John:11:16 @ Then Thomas said, who is called Didymus, unto his fellowdisciples, Let us go also, that we may die with him.
