John:11:1-16




lont@John:11:1 @ Now, one Lazarus, of Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha, was sick.

lont@John:11:2 @ (It was that Mary who anointed the Lord with balsam, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)

lont@John:11:3 @ The sisters, therefore, sent to tell Jesus, Master, lo! he whom you love, is sick.

lont@John:11:4 @ Jesus hearing it, said,

lont@John:11:5 @ Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.

lont@John:11:6 @ Having, then, heard that he was sick, Jesus staid two days in the place where he was.

lont@John:11:7 @ Afterward, he said to the disciples,

lont@John:11:8 @ The disciples answered, Rabbi, but very lately the Jews would have stoned you, and you would return thither?

lont@John:11:9 @ Jesus replied,

lont@John:11:10" />

lont@John:11:11 @ Having spoken this, he added,

lont@John:11:12 @ Then said his disciples, Master, if he sleep, he will recover.

lont@John:11:13 @ Jesus spoke of his death; but they thought that he spoke of the repose of sleep.

lont@John:11:14 @ Then Jesus told them plainly,

lont@John:11:15" />

lont@John:11:16 @ Then Thomas, that is, Didymus, said to his fellow disciples, Let us go, that we may die with him.
