* This he spoke , and afterwards said to them , Our friend Lazarus hath fallen asleep ; but I go that I may awake him out of sleep . * The disciples therefore said to him , Lord , if he hath fallen asleep , he will recover . * But Jesus had spoken of his death ; but they thought that he spoke of the taking of rest in sleep .
