rkjnt@John:12:1 @ Six days before the passover Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus raised from the dead.

rkjnt@John:12:2 @ There they made him a supper; and Martha served: and Lazarus was one of those at the table with him.

rkjnt@John:12:3 @ Then Mary took a pound of ointment of pure nard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the fragrance of the ointment.

rkjnt@John:12:4 @ Then one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who would later betray him, said,

rkjnt@John:12:5 @ Why was this ointment not sold for three hundred denarii, and given to the poor?

rkjnt@John:12:6 @ He said this, not because he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the money box, and stole what was put in it.

rkjnt@John:12:7 @ Then Jesus said, Let her alone: she has kept it for the day of my burial.

rkjnt@John:12:8 @ For the poor you have with you always; but me you do not always have.

rkjnt@John:12:9 @ Now a large multitude of the Jews learned that he was there: and they came not only because of Jesus, but also that they might see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.

rkjnt@John:12:10 @ But the chief priests discussed how they might put Lazarus to death also;

rkjnt@John:12:11 @ Because on account of him many of the Jews went away, and believed in Jesus.
