John:12:20-36

* Now there were certain Greeks among those who had come up to worship during the Passover feast ; * these came to Philip of Bethsaida in Galilee , with a request . "Sir ," they said , "we want to see Jesus ." * Philip went and told Andrew . Andrew and Philip went and told Jesus . Jesus answered . * "The hour is come that the Son of man should be glorified . * In solemn truth I tell you that except a kernel of wheat fall into the ground and die , it remains a single kernel ; but if it die it bears a great crop . * He who loves his life loses it ; and he who regards not his life in this world shall keep it for eternal life . * If any one is ready to serve me , let him follow me ; and where I am there shall my servant be also . If any man is ready to serve me , him will my Father honor . * Now is my soul disquieted . What shall I say ? Father , save me from this hour ?Nay , for this very cause I am come to this hour . * Father , glorify thy name !" Whereupon there came a voice from heaven , saying , "I have both glorified it , and will glorify it again ." * Then the crowd who stood around and heard it , said , "It thundered !" But others said , "An angel has spoken to him ." * "It is not for my sake ," answered Jesus , "that the voice came , but for your sakes . * Now is a judgment of this world ; now will the ruler of this world be driven out . * "AND I , IF I BE LIFTED UP FROM THE EARTH , WILL DRAW ALL MEN UNTO MYSELF ." * (In saying this he was signifying by what kind of death he was to die .) * Then the people answered . "We have heard out of the Law that the Christ abides forever . What do you mean by The Son of man must be lifted up ?Who is this Son of man ?" * "The Light is among you a little longer ," answered Jesus . "Walk while you have the Light , lest darkness overtake you . He who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going . * While you have the Light , believe in the Light , so that you may become Sons of Light ."
