* And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness , even so must the Son of Man be lifted up , * that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life . * For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son , that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life . * For God did not send His Son into the world so that He might condemn the world , but that the world through Him might be saved .
