* The officers therefore came to the chief priests and Pharisees , who said to them , Why did ye not bring him ? * The officers answered , Never man spoke like this man . * The Pharisees answered them , Have ye also been deceived ? * Hath any one of the rulers believed in him ? or of the Pharisees ? * but this multitude that know not the Law are accursed . * Nicodemus saith to them , being one of them , * Doth our law judge a man , unless it first hear from him , and know what he doeth ? * They answered and said to him , Art thou too from Galilee ? Search and see that no prophet ariseth from Galilee . *
