* And Jesus answering (5631 ) said (5627 ), A certain man went down (5707 ) from Jerusalem to Jericho , and fell among (5627 ) thieves , which stripped him of his raiment (5660 ), and wounded (5631 ) him , and departed (5627 ), leaving (5631 ) him half dead (5723 ). * And by chance there came down (5707 ) a certain priest that way : and when he saw (5631 ) him , he passed by on the other side (5627 ). * And likewise a Levite , when he was (5637 ) at the place , came (5631 ) and looked (5631 ) on him , and passed by on the other side (5627 ). * But a certain Samaritan , as he journeyed (5723 ), came (5627 ) where he was : and when he saw (5631 ) him , he had compassion (5675 ) on him , * And went (5631 ) to him , and bound up (5656 ) his wounds , pouring in (5723 ) oil and wine , and set (5660 ) him on his own beast , and brought (5627 ) him to an inn , and took care (5675 ) of him .
