* Then said he (5627 ) unto him , A certain man made (5656 ) a great supper , and bade (5656 ) many : * And sent (5656 ) his servant at supper time to say (5629 ) to them that were bidden (5772 ), Come (5737 ); for all things are (5748 ) now ready . * And they all with one consent began (5662 ) to make excuse (5738 ). The first said (5627 ) unto him , I have bought (5656 ) a piece of ground , and I must (5719 ) needs go (5629 ) and see (5629 ) it : I pray (5719 ) thee have (5720 ) me excused (5772 ). * And another said (5627 ), I have bought (5656 ) five yoke of oxen , and I go (5736 ) to prove (5658 ) them : I pray (5719 ) thee have (5720 ) me excused (5772 ). * And another said (5627 ), I have married (5656 ) a wife , and therefore I cannot (5736 ) come (5629 ). * So that servant came (5637 ), and shewed (5656 ) his lord these things . Then the master of the house being angry (5685 ) said (5627 ) to his servant , Go out (5628 ) quickly into the streets and lanes of the city , and bring in (5628 ) hither the poor , and the maimed , and the halt , and the blind . * And the servant said (5627 ), Lord , it is done (5754 ) as thou hast commanded (5656 ), and yet there is (5748 ) room . * And the lord said (5627 ) unto the servant , Go out (5628 ) into the highways and hedges , and compel (5657 ) them to come in (5629 ), that my house may be filled (5686 ). * For I say (5719 ) unto you , That none of those men which were bidden (5772 ) shall taste (5695 ) of my supper .
