Luke:16:1-8
noyes@Luke:16:1 @ And he said also to the disciples, There was a certain rich man, who had a steward; and the same was accused to him as wasting his goods.
noyes@Luke:16:2 @ And he called him, and said to him, What is this that I hear of thee? Give an account of thy stewardship; for thou canst be no longer steward.
noyes@Luke:16:3 @ Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do, now that my lord taketh away from me the stewardship? I cannot dig, I am ashamed to beg.
noyes@Luke:16:4 @ I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, I may be received into their houses.
noyes@Luke:16:5 @ So he called to him every one of his lordÂ’s debtors, and said to the first, How much dost thou owe my lord?
noyes@Luke:16:6 @ And he said, A hundred measures of oil. And he said to him, Take thy bond, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.
noyes@Luke:16:7 @ Then he said to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, A hundred measures of wheat. He saith to him, Take thy bond, and write eighty.
noyes@Luke:16:8 @ And the lord commended the unjust steward for having done wisely; for the sons of this world are wiser toward their generation than the sons of light.
