Luke:19:1-10




emtv@Luke:19:1 @ And having entered, He passed through Jericho.

emtv@Luke:19:2 @ And behold, there[ was] a man named Zacchaeus, and he was a chief tax collector, and this [man] was rich.

emtv@Luke:19:3 @ And he was trying to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature.

emtv@Luke:19:4 @ And running up ahead in front, he went up into a sycamore tree so that he might see Him, because He was about to pass by that way.

emtv@Luke:19:5 @ And when He came upon that place, Jesus looked up and saw him, and said to him, "Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay in your house."

emtv@Luke:19:6 @ So he hurried and came down, and received Him, rejoicing.

emtv@Luke:19:7 @ But when they saw it, they all were complaining, saying, "He has gone to be a guest with a sinful man."

emtv@Luke:19:8 @ Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord, I give half of my possessions to the poor; and if I have extorted anything from anyone, I restore fourfold."

emtv@Luke:19:9 @ And Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham;

emtv@Luke:19:10 @ for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."
