Luke:2:1-7




emtv@Luke:2:1 @ And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that a census be taken of all the empire.

emtv@Luke:2:2 @ This census [was ]the first [one] while Quirinius was governing Syria.

emtv@Luke:2:3 @ And all were traveling to be registered, each to his own city.

emtv@Luke:2:4 @ Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David,

emtv@Luke:2:5 @ to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was pregnant.

emtv@Luke:2:6 @ So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed [for] her to bear.

emtv@Luke:2:7 @ And she bore her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
