* And Pilate , when he had called together (5671 ) the chief priests and the rulers and the people , * Said (5627 ) unto them , Ye have brought (5656 ) this man unto me , as one that perverteth (5723 ) the people : and , behold (5628 ), I , having examined (5660 ) him before you , have found (5627 ) no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse (5719 ) him : * No , nor yet Herod : for I sent (5656 ) you to him ; and , lo (5628 ), nothing worthy of death is (5748 ) done (5772 ) unto him . * I will therefore chastise (5660 ) him , and release (5692 ) him . * (For of necessity he must (5707 ) release (5721 ) one unto them at the feast .) * And they cried out (5656 ) all at once , saying (5723 ), Away with (5720 ) this man , and release (5657 ) unto us Barabbas : * (Who for (5713 ) a certain sedition made (5637 ) in the city , and for murder , was cast (5772 ) into prison .) * Pilate therefore , willing (5723 ) to release (5658 ) Jesus , spake again to them (5656 ). * But they cried (5707 ), saying (5723 ), Crucify (5657 ) him , crucify (5657 ) him .
