lont@Luke:23:26 @ As they led him away, they laid hold of one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming from the country, and laid the cross on him, that he might bear it after Jesus.

lont@Luke:23:27 @ And a great multitude followed him, amongst whom were many women, who lamented and bewailed him.

lont@Luke:23:28 @ But Jesus, turning to them, said,

lont@Luke:23:32 @ And two malefactors were also led with him to execution.

lont@Luke:23:33 @ When they came to the place called Calvary, they there nailed him to a cross, and the malefactors also; one at his right hand, the other at his left.

lont@Luke:23:34 @ And Jesus said, And they parted his garments by lot.

lont@Luke:23:35 @ While the people stood gazing, even their rulers joined them in ridiculing him, and saying, This man saved others; let him save himself, if he be the Messiah, the elect of God.

lont@Luke:23:36 @ The soldiers likewise mocked him, coming and offering him vinegar,

lont@Luke:23:37 @ and saying, If you be the King of the Jews, save yourself.

lont@Luke:23:38 @ There was also an inscription over his head in Greek, Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

lont@Luke:23:39 @ Now, one of the malefactors who suffered with him, reviled him, saying, If you be the Messiah, save yourself and us.

lont@Luke:23:40 @ The other, rebuking him, answered, Have you no fear of God, you who are undergoing the same punishment?

lont@Luke:23:41 @ And we, indeed, justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man has done nothing amiss.

lont@Luke:23:42 @ And he said to Jesus, Remember me, Lord, when thou comest to thy kingdom.
