* And , behold (5628 ), there was a man named Joseph , a counsellor ; and he was a good (5723 ) man , and a just : * (The same had not consented (5768 ) (5713 ) to the counsel and deed of them ;) he was of Arimathaea , a city of the Jews : who also himself waited for (5711 ) the kingdom of God . * This man went (5631 ) unto Pilate , and begged (5668 ) the body of Jesus . * And he took it down (5631 ), and wrapped (5656 ) it in linen , and laid (5656 ) it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone , wherein never man before was (5713 ) laid (5740 ). * And that day was (5713 ) the preparation , and the sabbath drew on (5707 ). * And the women also , which came (5713 ) (5761 ) with him from Galilee , followed after (5660 ), and beheld (5662 ) the sepulchre , and how his body was laid (5681 ). * And they returned (5660 ), and prepared (5656 ) spices and ointments ; and rested (5656 ) the sabbath day according to the commandment .
