noyes@Luke:23:50 @ And lo! a man named Joseph, of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews, being a councilor, and a good and righteous man,

noyes@Luke:23:51 @ who was not consenting to their purpose and deed, and was waiting for the kingdom of God,––

noyes@Luke:23:52 @ this man went to Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus.

noyes@Luke:23:53 @ And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a tomb that was hewn out of the rock; wherein no one had yet lain.

noyes@Luke:23:54 @ And it was the day of preparation, and the sabbath was now coming on.

noyes@Luke:23:55 @ And the women also, who had come with him from Galilee, followed after, and saw the tomb, and how his body was laid.

noyes@Luke:23:56 @ And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and on the sabbath they rested, according to the commandment.
