* And after these things he went forth , and saw a tax gatherer , named Levi , sitting at the tax office ; and he said to him , Follow me . * And he left all , rose up , and followed him . * And Levi made a great feast in his own house for him : and there was a great company of tax gatherers and of others who were reclining at table with them . * But the scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples , saying , Why do you eat and drink with tax gatherers and sinners ? * And Jesus answered and said to them , Those who are well do not need a physician ; but those who are sick . * I came not to call the righteous , but sinners to repentance .
