* Now the parable is (5748 ) this : The seed is (5748 ) the word of God . * Those by the way side are (5748 ) they that hear (5723 ); then cometh (5736 ) the devil , and taketh away (5719 ) the word out of their hearts , lest they should believe (5660 ) and be saved (5686 ). * They on the rock are they , which , when they hear (5661 ), receive (5736 ) the word with joy ; and these have (5719 ) no root , which for a while believe (5719 ), and in time of temptation fall away (5736 ). * And that which fell (5631 ) among thorns are (5748 ) they , which , when they have heard (5660 ), go forth (5740 ), and are choked (5743 ) with cares and riches and pleasures of this life , and bring no fruit to perfection (5719 ). * But that on the good ground are (5748 ) they , which in an honest and good heart , having heard (5660 ) the word , keep (5719 ) it , and bring forth fruit (5719 ) with patience .
