mkjv@Luke:9:51 @ And it happened in the fulfilling [of] the days of His taking up, He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem.

mkjv@Luke:9:52 @ And [He] sent messengers before His face. And they went and entered into a village of the Samaritans to make ready for Him.

mkjv@Luke:9:53 @ And they did not receive Him, because His face was going toward Jerusalem.

mkjv@Luke:9:54 @ And seeing, His disciples James and John said, Lord, do You desire [that] we command fire to come down from Heaven and consume them, even as Elijah did?

mkjv@Luke:9:55 @ But He turned and rebuked them and said, You do not know of what spirit you are.

mkjv@Luke:9:56 @ For the Son of man has not come to destroy men's lives, but to save. And they went to another village.

mkjv@Luke:9:57 @ And it happened as they were going in the way, one said to Him, Lord, I will follow You wherever You go.

mkjv@Luke:9:58 @ And Jesus said to him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air [have] nests, but the Son of man has nowhere to lay [His] head.

mkjv@Luke:9:59 @ And He said to another, Follow Me! But he said, Lord, first allow me to go and bury my father.

mkjv@Luke:9:60 @ Jesus said to him, Let the dead bury their dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.

mkjv@Luke:9:61 @ And another also said, Lord, I will follow You, but first allow me to take leave of those in my house.

mkjv@Luke:9:62 @ And Jesus said to him, No one, having put his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
