* After John had been betrayed , Jesus came into Galilee , proclaiming the good news of God * and saying , * As he passed along by the lake of Galilee , he saw Simon and his brother Andrew , casting a net into the lake , for they were fishermen . * Jesus said to them , * They immediately left their nets and followed him . * Going on a little farther , he saw James the son of Zebedee and his brother John in their boat , mending their net . * Immediately he called them . They left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him away .
