* And there came (5736 ) a leper to him , beseeching (5723 ) him , and kneeling down (5723 ) to him , and saying (5723 ) unto him , If thou wilt (5725 ), thou canst (5736 ) make me clean (5658 ). * And Jesus , moved with compassion (5679 ), put forth (5660 ) his hand , and touched (5662 ) him , and saith (5719 ) unto him , I will (5719 ); be thou clean (5682 ). * And as soon as he had spoken (5631 ), immediately the leprosy departed (5627 ) from him , and he was cleansed (5681 ). * And he straitly charged (5666 ) him , and forthwith sent him away (5627 ); * And saith (5719 ) unto him , See (5720 ) thou say (5632 ) nothing to any man : but go thy way (5720 ), shew (5657 ) thyself to the priest , and offer (5628 ) for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded (5656 ), for a testimony unto them . * But he went out (5631 ), and began (5662 ) to publish (5721 ) it much , and to blaze abroad (5721 ) the matter , insomuch that Jesus could (5738 ) no more openly enter (5629 ) into the city , but was (5713 ) without in desert places : and they came (5711 ) to him from every quarter .
