Mark:10:1-12
tcent@Mark:10:1 @ Then he left there and went to the region of Judea and beyond the Jordan. And crowds gathered to him again; and again, as his custom was, he taught them.
tcent@Mark:10:2 @ The Pharisees came and in order to test him asked, »Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?«
tcent@Mark:10:3 @ He answered them, »What did Moses command you?«
tcent@Mark:10:4 @ They said, »Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce, and to put her away.«
tcent@Mark:10:5 @ But Jesus said to them, »Because of your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment.
tcent@Mark:10:6 @ But from the beginning of creation God made them male and female.
tcent@Mark:10:7 @ For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife,
tcent@Mark:10:8 @ and the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh.
tcent@Mark:10:9 @ Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.«
tcent@Mark:10:10 @ In the house his disciples also asked him again about this matter.
tcent@Mark:10:11 @ So he said to them, »Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her.
tcent@Mark:10:12 @ And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery.«
