* And they come (5736 ) to Jerusalem : and Jesus went (5631 ) into the temple , and began (5662 ) to cast out (5721 ) them that sold (5723 ) and bought (5723 ) in the temple , and overthrew (5656 ) the tables of the moneychangers , and the seats of them that sold (5723 ) doves ; * And would not suffer (5707 ) that any man should carry (5632 ) any vessel through the temple . * And he taught (5707 ), saying (5723 ) unto them , Is it not written (5769 ), My house shall be called (5701 ) of all nations the house of prayer ? but ye have made (5656 ) it a den of thieves . * And the scribes and chief priests heard (5656 ) it , and sought (5707 ) how they might destroy (5692 ) him : for they feared (5711 ) him , because all the people was astonished (5712 ) at his doctrine .
