Is it lawful to give tribute to Cesar , or not ? * Shall we give , or shall we not give ? He , perceiving their artifice , answered , * When they had brought , he asked them , They answered , Cesar 's . * Jesus replied , And they wondered at him . * Then Sadducees came to him , who say that there is no future life , and proposed this questions : * Rabbi , Moses has enacted , that if a man 's brother die , survived by a wife without children , he shall marry the widow , and raise issue to his brother . * Now there were seven brothers . The first took a wife , and dying , left no issue . * The second married her , and died ; neither did he leave any issue ; so did also the third . * Thus all seven married her , and left no issue .
