* And John 's disciples , and those of the Pharisees , were fasting . And they came and said to Him , Why do John 's disciples and those of the Pharisees fast , but your disciples do not fast ? * And Jesus said to them , Can the sons of the bridechamber fast while the groom is with them ? What time they have the groom with them , they cannot fast . * But the days will come when the groom will be taken away from them , and then they will fast in those days . * And no one sews a patch of unmilled cloth on an old garment , else it takes away its fullness , the new from the old , and a worse tear occurs . * And no one puts new wine into old skins , else the new wine will burst the skins , and the wine pours out , and the skins will be destroyed . But new wine is put into fresh skins .
