* And he said , Thus is the kingdom of God , as if a man should cast seed into the ground , * and should sleep and rise night and day , and the seed should sprout and lengthen , he knows not how . * For the earth bears fruit spontaneously , first the blade , then the ear , then the full grain in the ear . * But when the fruit yields , straightaway he sends forth the sickle , because the harvest has come .
