jub@Mark:8:1 @ In those days, as before, there was a great multitude, and they had nothing to eat; Jesus called his disciples [unto him] and said unto them,

jub@Mark:8:2 @ I have mercy on the multitude because they have now been with me three days and have nothing to eat;

jub@Mark:8:3 @ And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way, for some of them came from afar.

jub@Mark:8:4 @ And his disciples answered him, From where can anyone satisfy these [men] with bread here in the wilderness?

jub@Mark:8:5 @ And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.

jub@Mark:8:6 @ And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground; and taking the seven loaves and having given thanks, he broke [them] and gave to his disciples to set before [them]; and they set [them] before the multitude.

jub@Mark:8:7 @ And they also had a few small fishes; and he blessed them and commanded to set them also before [them].

jub@Mark:8:8 @ So they ate and were filled; and they took up of the broken [food] that was left seven baskets.

jub@Mark:8:9 @ And those that had eaten were about four thousand; and he dispatched them.

jub@Mark:8:10 @ And straightway he entered into a ship with his disciples and came into the parts of Dalmanutha.

jub@Mark:8:11 @ And the Pharisees came forth and began to argue with him, demanding of him a sign from heaven, tempting him.

jub@Mark:8:12 @ And crying out in his spirit, he said, Why does this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation.

jub@Mark:8:13 @ And he left them and, entering into the ship again, departed to the other side.

jub@Mark:8:14 @ Now [the disciples] had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf.

jub@Mark:8:15 @ And he commanded them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and [of] the leaven of Herod.

jub@Mark:8:16 @ And they argued among themselves, saying, [It is] because we have no bread.

jub@Mark:8:17 @ And as Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why argue ye because ye have no bread? Do ye not consider nor understand? is your heart yet blind?

jub@Mark:8:18 @ Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?

jub@Mark:8:19 @ When I broke the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They said unto him, Twelve.

jub@Mark:8:20 @ And when the seven loaves among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.

jub@Mark:8:21 @ And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not yet understand?

jub@Mark:8:22 @ And he came to Bethsaida, and they bring a blind man unto him and beseech him to touch him.

jub@Mark:8:23 @ So, taking the blind man by the hand, he led him out of the town; and spitting into his eyes and putting his hands upon [them], he asked him if he saw anything.

jub@Mark:8:24 @ And looking, he said, I see men; I see that they walk as trees.

jub@Mark:8:25 @ After that, he put [his] hands again upon his eyes and caused him to see; and he was whole and saw everyone, far away and clearly.

jub@Mark:8:26 @ And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell [it] to any in the town.

jub@Mark:8:27 @ And Jesus and his disciples went out into the towns of Caesarea Philippi; and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am?

jub@Mark:8:28 @ And they answered, John the Baptist; but some [say], Elijah; and others, One of the prophets.

jub@Mark:8:29 @ Then he said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answered and said unto him, Thou art the Christ!

jub@Mark:8:30 @ And he commanded them that they should tell no one of [this] regarding him.

jub@Mark:8:31 @ And he began to teach them that it was convenient that the Son of man must suffer many things and be rejected of the elders and [of] the princes of the priests and of the scribes, and be killed and after three days rise again.

jub@Mark:8:32 @ And he spoke this word clearly. Then Peter took him and began to rebuke him.

jub@Mark:8:33 @ And he, turning about and looking at his disciples, rebuked Peter, saying, Get thyself from me, Satan, for thou knowest not the things that are of God, but the things that [are] of men.

jub@Mark:8:34 @ And calling the multitude [unto him] with his disciples, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his stake and follow me.

jub@Mark:8:35 @ For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

jub@Mark:8:36 @ For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?

jub@Mark:8:37 @ Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

jub@Mark:8:38 @ Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.:

jub@Mark:9:1 @ He also said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there are some of those who are here who shall not taste of death until they have seen the kingdom of God which comes with power.

jub@Mark:9:2 @ And six days afterwards Jesus took Peter and James and John, and separated them apart by themselves unto a high mountain; and he was transfigured before them.

jub@Mark:9:3 @ And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow, so as no fuller on earth can white them.

jub@Mark:9:4 @ And there appeared unto them Elijah with Moses; and they were talking with Jesus.

jub@Mark:9:5 @ Then Peter answering, said unto Jesus, Master, it shall be good for us to remain here; and let us make three tabernacles: one for thee, and another for Moses, and another for Elijah.

jub@Mark:9:6 @ For he knew not what he was saying, for he was beside himself.

jub@Mark:9:7 @ And a cloud came that overshadowed them, and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son; hear ye him.

jub@Mark:9:8 @ And suddenly, when they had looked around, they saw no one any more, except Jesus only with themselves.

jub@Mark:9:9 @ And as they came down from the mountain, he commanded them that they should tell no one what things they had seen until the Son of man was risen from the dead.

jub@Mark:9:10 @ And they kept the word within themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should be.

jub@Mark:9:11 @ And they asked him, saying, Why do the scribes say that Elijah must first come?

jub@Mark:9:12 @ And he answered and told them, Elijah verily shall come first and restore all things and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things and be esteemed as nothing.

jub@Mark:9:13 @ But I say unto you, That Elijah has [indeed] come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they wished, as it is written of him.

jub@Mark:9:14 @ And as he came to the disciples, he saw a great multitude about them and scribes that disputed with them.

jub@Mark:9:15 @ And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to [him] saluted him.

jub@Mark:9:16 @ And he asked the scribes, What dispute ye with them?

jub@Mark:9:17 @ And one of the multitude answering, said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, who has a dumb spirit;

jub@Mark:9:18 @ and wherever he takes him, he tears him, and he foams and gnashes with his teeth and pines away; and I spoke to thy disciples that they should cast him out, and they could not.

jub@Mark:9:19 @ Answering, he said unto him, O unfaithful generation, how long shall I be with you? How long must I suffer you? Bring him unto me.

jub@Mark:9:20 @ And they brought him unto him; and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tore him; and he fell on the ground and wallowed foaming.

jub@Mark:9:21 @ And [Jesus] asked his father, How long ago is it since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.

jub@Mark:9:22 @ And ofttimes it has cast him into the fire and into the waters to kill him, but if thou canst do any thing, help us, having mercy on us.

jub@Mark:9:23 @ And Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe this, all things [are] possible to him that believes.

jub@Mark:9:24 @ And straightway the father of the child crying out with tears, said, Lord, I believe; help thou my unbelief.

jub@Mark:9:25 @ When Jesus saw that the multitude concurred, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying unto him, [Thou] dumb and deaf spirit, I command thee, come out of him and enter no more into him.

jub@Mark:9:26 @ Then the spirit, crying out and rending him sore, came out; and [he] remained as one dead, [insomuch] that many said that he was dead.

jub@Mark:9:27 @ But Jesus, taking him by the hand, straightened him up; and he arose.

jub@Mark:9:28 @ And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?

jub@Mark:9:29 @ And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

jub@Mark:9:30 @ And having left there, they walked together through Galilee; and he did not wish that anyone should know of it.

jub@Mark:9:31 @ For he went on teaching his disciples and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after he is dead, he shall rise the third day.

jub@Mark:9:32 @ But they did not understand this word and were afraid to ask him.

jub@Mark:9:33 @ And he came to Capernaum; and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves on the way?

jub@Mark:9:34 @ But they were silent; for on the way they had disputed among themselves, who [should be] the greatest.

jub@Mark:9:35 @ Then, sitting down, he called the twelve and said unto them, If anyone desires to be first, [the same] shall be last of all and servant of all.

jub@Mark:9:36 @ And taking a child, he set him in the midst of them; and taking him in his arms, he said unto them,

jub@Mark:9:37 @ Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receives me; and whosoever shall receive me, receives not me, but him that sent me.

jub@Mark:9:38 @ And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out demons in thy name and he does not follow us; and we forbade him because he does not follow us.

jub@Mark:9:39 @ But Jesus said, Forbid him not, for there is no one who does a miracle in my name that can then speak evil of me.

jub@Mark:9:40 @ For he that is not against us is for us.

jub@Mark:9:41 @ For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name because ye are of the Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

jub@Mark:9:42 @ And whosoever shall be a stumbling block to one of [these] little ones that believe in me, it would be better for him if a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

jub@Mark:9:43 @ And if thy hand causes thee to fall, cut it off; it is better for thee to enter into life maimed than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that can never be quenched,

jub@Mark:9:44 @ where their worm does not die, and the fire is never quenched.

jub@Mark:9:45 @ And if thy foot causes thee to fall, cut it off; it is better for thee to enter halt into life than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that can never be quenched,

jub@Mark:9:46 @ where their worm does not die, and the fire is never quenched.

jub@Mark:9:47 @ And if thine eye causes thee to fall, pluck it out; it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye than having two eyes to be cast into hell,

jub@Mark:9:48 @ where their worm does not die, and the fire is never quenched.

jub@Mark:9:49 @ For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.

jub@Mark:9:50 @ Salt [is] good, but if the salt has lost its saltness, with what will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.:

jub@Mark:10:1 @ And he left there and came into the borders of Judaea and behind the Jordan; and the multitude joined him again, and he taught them again as was his custom.
