Matthew:12:1-14

gltv@Matthew:12:1 @ At that time on the sabbath, Jesus went through the grain fields. And His disciples were hungry, and began to pluck heads of grain and to eat.

gltv@Matthew:12:2 @ But seeing, the Pharisees said to Him, Behold, your disciples are doing what it is not lawful to do on the sabbath.

gltv@Matthew:12:3 @ But He said to them, Have you not read what David did, when he and those with him hungered?

gltv@Matthew:12:4 @ How he entered into the house of God, and he ate the Bread of Arrangement, which it was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those with him, but for the priests only?

gltv@Matthew:12:5 @ Or have you not read in the Law that on the sabbaths the priests in the temple profane the sabbath and are guiltless?

gltv@Matthew:12:6 @ But I say to you, One greater than the temple is here.

gltv@Matthew:12:7 @ But if you had known what this is, "I desire mercy and not sacrifice," you would not have condemned the guiltless. Hosea. strkjv@6:6

gltv@Matthew:12:8 @ For the Son of man is also Lord of the sabbath.

gltv@Matthew:12:9 @ And moving from there, He came into their synagogue.

gltv@Matthew:12:10 @ And, behold, a man having a withered hand was there. And they asked Him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbaths? (that they might accuse Him).

gltv@Matthew:12:11 @ But He said to them, What man of you will be who will have one sheep, and if this one fall into a pit on the sabbaths, will he not lay hold of it and raise it up?

gltv@Matthew:12:12 @ How much more, then, does a man excel a sheep! So that it is lawful to do well on the sabbaths.

gltv@Matthew:12:13 @ Then He said to the man, Stretch out your hand! And he stretched out. And it was restored sound as the other.

gltv@Matthew:12:14 @ But as they were leaving, the Pharisees took up a council against Him, how they might destroy Him.
