* And departing thence , he went into their synagogue . * And , lo ! there was a man having a withered hand . And they asked him , saying , Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath ? that they might accuse him . * And he said to them , Who of you that owneth one sheep , if it fall into a pit on the sabbath , will not lay hold of it , and lift it out ? * Of how much more worth now is a man than a sheep ! So then it is lawful to do well on the sabbath . * Then saith he to the man , Stretch forth thy hand . And he stretched it forth ; and it was restored sound as the other .
