* And he called (5666 ) the multitude , and said (5627 ) unto them , Hear (5720 ), and understand (5720 ): * Not that which goeth (5740 ) into the mouth defileth (5719 ) a man ; but that which cometh (5740 ) out of the mouth , this defileth (5719 ) a man . * Then came (5631 ) his disciples , and said (5627 ) unto him , Knowest thou (5758 ) that the Pharisees were offended (5681 ), after they heard (5660 ) this saying ? * But he answered (5679 ) and said (5627 ), Every plant , which my heavenly Father hath not planted (5656 ), shall be rooted up (5701 ). * Let them alone (5628 ): they be (5748 ) blind leaders of the blind . And if the blind lead (5725 ) the blind , both shall fall (5699 ) into the ditch . * Then answered (5679 ) Peter and said (5627 ) unto him , Declare (5657 ) unto us this parable . * And Jesus said (5627 ), Are (5748 ) ye also yet without understanding ? * Do not ye yet understand (5719 ), that whatsoever entereth in (5740 ) at the mouth goeth (5719 ) into the belly , and is cast out (5743 ) into the draught ? * But those things which proceed (5740 ) out of the mouth come forth (5736 ) from the heart ; and they defile (5719 ) the man . * For out of the heart proceed (5736 ) evil thoughts , murders , adulteries , fornications , thefts , false witness , blasphemies : * These are (5748 ) the things which defile (5723 ) a man : but to eat (5629 ) with unwashen hands defileth (5719 ) not a man .
