* But ye say (5719 ), Whosoever shall say (5632 ) to his father or his mother , It is a gift , by whatsoever thou mightest be profited (5686 ) by me ; * And honour (5661 ) not his father or his mother , he shall be free . Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect (5656 ) by your tradition . * Ye hypocrites , well did Esaias prophesy (5656 ) of you , saying (5723 ), * This people draweth nigh (5719 ) unto me with their mouth , and honoureth (5719 ) me with their lips ; but their heart is (5719 ) far from me . * But in vain they do worship (5736 ) me , teaching (5723 ) for doctrines the commandments of men . * And he called (5666 ) the multitude , and said (5627 ) unto them , Hear (5720 ), and understand (5720 ): * Not that which goeth (5740 ) into the mouth defileth (5719 ) a man ; but that which cometh (5740 ) out of the mouth , this defileth (5719 ) a man . * Then came (5631 ) his disciples , and said (5627 ) unto him , Knowest thou (5758 ) that the Pharisees were offended (5681 ), after they heard (5660 ) this saying ? * But he answered (5679 ) and said (5627 ), Every plant , which my heavenly Father hath not planted (5656 ), shall be rooted up (5701 ). * Let them alone (5628 ): they be (5748 ) blind leaders of the blind . And if the blind lead (5725 ) the blind , both shall fall (5699 ) into the ditch .
