* Jesus said (5713 ) unto him , If thou wilt (5719 ) be (5750 ) perfect , go (5720 ) and sell (5657 ) that thou hast (5723 ), and give (5628 ) to the poor , and thou shalt have (5692 ) treasure in heaven : and come (5773 ) and follow (5720 ) me . * But when the young man heard (5660 ) that saying , he went away (5627 ) sorrowful (5746 ): for he had (5723 ) (5713 ) great possessions . * Then said (5627 ) Jesus unto his disciples , Verily I say (5719 ) unto you , That a rich man shall hardly enter (5695 ) into the kingdom of heaven . * And again I say (5719 ) unto you , It is (5748 ) easier for a camel to go (5629 ) through the eye of a needle , than for a rich man to enter (5629 ) into the kingdom of God . * When his disciples heard (5660 ) it , they were exceedingly amazed (5712 ), saying (5723 ), Who then can (5736 ) be saved (5683 )? * But Jesus beheld (5660 ) them , and said (5627 ) unto them , With men this is (5748 ) impossible ; but with God all things are (5748 ) possible . * Then answered (5679 ) Peter and said (5627 ) unto him , Behold (5628 ), we have forsaken (5656 ) all , and followed (5656 ) thee ; what shall we have (5704 ) therefore ?
